Trevor
Chandler is an extremely talented musician. He plays both acoustic and
electric guitar. He grew up in Arizona, and began
playing guitar at age 10. Five years later he put his first
band together. After a few gigs in some local restaurants,
Trevor was hooked. At age 20 he became a full time
musician touring in the Northwest for the next 10 years.
Throughout his life he has played in over 4,000 performances. He
even placed in the Grand Finals of the Seattle Guitar Stars competition
in 1998. Trevor has also composed and recorded a soundtrack for a film,
which eventually won an award at the San Francisco Film
Festival. He then came to Colorado, where his parents
live, and met his wife, Deborah.
Trevor currently is a Principle Software Engineer and ocassionally plays
for his church praise team at Crossroads
Church. He just recently moved to the mountains with his
wife and two dogs, Noah and Pumpkin. He also enjoys playing
all styles of music on his guitar, and is also currently
working on creating his own bands and an album. We're fortunate
to have him teaching for us!

Making the Most of Summer - Musically! |
 |
|
Summer is just around the corner and a GREAT time to take your child's musical abilities to the next level. After
activity-filled days during the school year, it's very tempting to just
"rest" in the summer when it comes to our music classes and lessons. We understand that as we have children, too! But
it's a wonderful time to really capitalize on the freedom that summer
offers and to really boost your child's self esteem and musical skills. We offer classes and lessons that out of the norm during the summer months and focus on that freedom and the change of pace. At
A Child's Song we offer a summer program that is flexible and unique to
give you affordable choices to occupy your child's summer free time
while still moving forward in new and different directions. We may be tired, but children still need focus, direction, and activities that will stimulate their growth and development. We've seen children FLOURISH over the summer months. When
children take a break during the summer months we often find that they
have to do some remedial work in the fall to gain momentum and regain
skills. It often just isn't worthwhile to take that break. Your
children are only young once - you can never regain their youth and the
opportunities for growth and development of those precious brains. |
