He's pretty slow to warm up to new people and situations, and the consistency and positive reinforcement he gets from a room full of smiling friends all singing a fun song has made him more confident. He's gone from hanging back and not wanting to participate to getting his own instruments, putting them back, etc without difficulty, and that's tarnsferred to other situations as well. He's also a very musical person - our house is full of mandolins, guitars, violins, and other instruments. Most of his play centers around music, and we're looking forward to starting him in classes to learn an instrument soon. Kindermusik rocks! The home materials always provided lots of opportunities for fun and creativity at Gram's house and even in the car. She still loves the rocking songs (with hammock-ing of course!) and dancing to the fiddle music. She has serenaded the neighborhood with her harmonica and last week we were playing ball and she starting singing "I roll the ball to you, you roll the ball to me..."
