lisa@achildssong.com

Lisa Beckham Lisa Beckham, has actually been married to David Beckham for over 30 years. She is the mother of 2 married daughters and a grandmother with a love for children. She has taught and tutored for over 20 years in Early Childhood education. She came to A Child’s Song studio through the programs she participated in with her granddaughter and the experience produced incredible results! She experienced the Kindermusik and AussieROO classes and soon realized this was an amazing way to introduce children and their parents to a fun and very effective way to learn together. These programs encourage parents and their children to spend one on one time together not only in the classroom, but at home, as well as preparing the for school readiness. She was inspired to retire from teaching children in a traditional setting to begin teaching parents with their children, thus empowering parents with the information and ideas they need to become more effective, confident, and intentional with their child’s development. She is passionate about encouraging positive parenting skills, sparking the love of learning in children, and strengthening families. She is a certified Kindermusik Educator, AusieROO Educator, and Studio Administrator at A Child’s Song. She and her husband teach a children’s Sunday school class together. She loves bird watching and old movies.

Jenny Messer May I just say that I have my dream job? I try to email, call, text, or tell my director at lease once a week how I do not know what I would do if I did not get to teach music all day, 5 days a week! To get to start my day with infants in the morning and work through each stage of life and end with my older students who put all the dynamic, theory, and musical artistry into playing piano is pure bliss. Some of my favorite days are when my student starts the lesson with their own composition, what a reward for a teacher. Whenever we have a break or a holiday, I miss my kiddos and can not wait to see them and can not believe how they have grown up! Even when I am having a bad day, my husband reminds me that once I get to see my kids in class I will be happier than ever…and he is always right! Rick and I have been married for almost 5 years and have known each other for about 20 years…we met as children and have been best buds ever since. He and I have always been connected through music and since have lived our lives completely surrounded by music, art, and travel. Rick is a Freelance Graphic Designer and a musician, his main passion in life, by night in a local instrumental band. One of our favorite things to do is leave the country once a year and experience music, art, and culture all around the world. We recently returned from South Africa to take instruments/music to orphans…and I can not wait to return, hopefully each summer.

Shannah Copeland

Client Account Controller

shannah@achildssong.com

Shannah Copeland I have worked in customer service and collections for over 8 years. I have worked as a Trainer for Collections and Payment Negotiation. My teaching strategy was always an emphasis on a more human approach to handling the “not so fun” side of the billing process – collecting money. I have officially worked for A Child’s Song for about a year now. But have always been around to help with the odds and ends. I also work at Avista Hospital working in the Emergency Room. I am also a mom of a 4yr old (who has been nicked named “Rylee Roo” because of her love of AussieRoo).. so I have no short term memory or sense of time anymore! When I do find time to rest or relax, I enjoy reading and playing volleyball. You can probably find me at my favorite store – Target. I was sick for a week and I think their profits went down tremendously. My husband and I love to travel, San Diego is an annual adventure and joy. Though many of you may disagree, I LOVE the Winter! LET IT SNOW!

Kristen Barrett

Kristen Barrett I have been an employee with A Child’s Song for 3 years and it has been a great experience. I love music and I have been playing the violin for 7 years. I graduated from Centaurus High School last May and now attend CU Boulder. I am currently undecided for my major. I was a gymnast for 10 years, and a level 8 gymnast in competitive gymnastics at Gymnastics Unlimited where I help teach and occasionally host birthday parties. I have two cats, Meowzers and Prowler, and am engaged to my wonderful boyfriend, Justin, who is also a high school graduate, and is currently attending Front Range.
